Shipwreck boat trip

Porto Vromi beach is located at the western end of the island and is the base of the boats that depart daily for the famous Shipwreck beach. Travel time is about 25 minutes and the passengers do not have to swim as the boats take them out to the beach. From early May until the end of October, there are daily excursions there, but one can visit the Shipwreck during the remainder of the year as well. The time spent on the beach is more than an hour, but if the passengers wish, they may stay for as long as they like, choosing one of the next boats for his return with no additional charge. Upon return, the boat captain will take you to the magnificent local blue caves between the Shipwreck beach and Porto Vromi Maries, the secluded beach of Sfhogos, Porto Stenitis and the unique "Poseidon's" profile. In each of the previous areas, the passengers can swim if they want. The total duration of the trip, if you are in a hurry, can be just 1 hour, but if you want to enjoy it, it can go well beyond 6 hours. In the summer months the weather is generally good and the winds do not cause any issues. The first boat departs from Porto Vromi at around 9 am, the last boat is from the Shipwreck beach at about 6 pm, depending on the season and the weather.

The first route starts at 9 am and the last from the Shipwreck is at 6 pm.

There are no toilets or a dining area at the Shipwreck beach. On the departure point, in Porto Vromi, there are toilets and a canteen for water, snacks and soft drinks.

Excursions are made by boats of different sizes, which are under mandatory inspections every year.

The size of the boats is ideal for entering even the smallest caves.

Marathonisi & Keri Caves boat trip

Marathonisi is a small uninhabited island in the bay of Laganas, on the south side of Zakynthos. This turtle-shaped island is a destination that every visitor should visit. Marathonisi is part of the National Marine Park of Zakynthos where the Caretta-Caretta turtle is protected. It is also worth visiting the caves of Keri, a place of unique beauty where the vegetation and the wildness of nature mingle with the sea, creating a wonderful landscape. From the center of Laganas beach, three times a day (at 10:00, 12:00 and 15:00) a glass-bottom boat departs for Marathonisi and the caves of Keri, spotting and photographing the sea turtles that live and move around in the bay of Laganas. After the turtle adventure, the boat arrives at Marathonisi where for about an hour the passengers will be able to tour around the island as well as swim in the wonderful sandy beach. After Marathonisi, the boat sails to the caves of Keri, where the green of the vegetation “meets” the blue of the Ionian Sea creating a magnificent scenery. The passengers of the ship can swim inside the caves to explore their beauty. After the visit to the caves, the boat slowly returns to the starting point, while sailing alongside the land, giving the passengers the opportunity to enjoy the landscape and fill their mind with wonderful memories.
