• Starting Time. The Starting time is flexible - Any time from 9:00 until 15:00 in agreement with our office. We recommend starting at 09.00 or 10.00. 
• Starting point. The Sea Kayak Marathonisi (Turtle) Island tour starts from the "Agios Sostis" harbour.
• Safety instructions. Before departure, your lifeguard-certified guide will brief you on trip details, kayak paddling techniques, and safety measures. Then they will provide you with the kayak gear and you'll be set to explore the waters! Happy paddling!
• Paddle on the calm waters of South Zakynthos. We start paddling from Agios Sostis harbour heading south to "Marathonisi". While paddling we will pass by the small, private, but beautiful hidden treasure of Zakynthos, Cameo Island. Connected to Zakynthos by a small bridge, making the area look like the Caribbean.  
• Paddle to the idyllic setting of Marathonisi Island. While paddling through the calm waters on your colourful sit-on-top kayak in front of the most stunning backdrop of the Ionian sea, feast your eyes on the picturesque, Marathonisi Island, the island of Caretta-Caretta turtles. Its fascinating surrounding makes Marathanosi an idyllic island for exploration. Calm waters here offer ideal conditions for Sea Kayaking trips, especially for beginners. The island itself is a place of incredible natural beauty, with an impressive landscape. See uniquely the turtles and if you are lucky, even under your kayak.
• Swimming at Marathonisi Island. Astonished by the natural beauty of Marathonisi Island, you can swim in its shimmering blue waters. Reach and seek from here hidden sea caves and rock formations. There are two main beaches on the islet of Marathonisi, one with pebbles, while the other has fine white sand. Marathonisi Island is a breeding place for the wonderful turtle Caretta Caretta. Search for them and swim with them. The second species here is the “Monk seal,” or Monachus Monachus, which annually makes its way to the islet to reproduce and rest. You should always be cautious and respect them as also as their habitat. The Guards of the National Marine Park, stay there permanently to protect these two species of the island.
• Stop at a secluded beach. After Marathonisi Island, we will paddle for a bit more to an inaccessible beach and make a 45-minute stop. Here, we will jump out of our kayaks and will take pictures of an idyllic landscape for story-telling. There will be plenty of time for swimming and snorkelling on this remote beach, accessible only by sea. There, we will provide you with snorkelling gear (full face mask) to swim. Then you will take a break to relax and taste a delicious and traditional snack of local products, to come in touch with the Zakynthian flavours.  
• Paddle back. After this energy-pumped stop, we will paddle back to the starting point to end this remarkable experience. En route, admire the incredible, natural beauty of Zakynthos, with the impressive landscape and its secret caves. 
• Ending point is at "Agios Sostis". Also, here turtles may be spotted swimming. After three hours of Sea Kayaking, return with wonderful memories and photographs from your memorable adventure
