• The departure is from the port of Zakynthos town at 7.30 am and returns around 5 pm. The duration of the trip is about 9 hours.

• The excursion is organized with a traditional, wooden and well-equipped professional fishing boat.

• The boat is subject to annual control by European standards and Greek law which certifies its travel ability.

• The length of the boat is 15 meters and the width is 4.70 meters. It has a cabin and is equipped with all means of modern navigation. It also has a kitchen, a shaded table and a toilet - shower.

• The crew is experienced and provided with all necessary legal documentation.

• Do not forget to take your towels, sunscreen and your camera with you.

• The boat has no mobile phone charging potential.

• The boat has 85% shade.

• The crew can provide the passengers with masks for diving at the sea bottom.

• Starting point from Isala Travel. The "Traditional Fishing Trip and Fresh Fish Lunch (Sunrise Included)" cruise begins from our office, Isala Travel in Zakynthos town,30 Lomvardou Street, Zakynthos,29100. The boat departs strictly at 07.30 am from the picturesque main port of Zakynthos to the point where the fishing nets will fall -usually on the southeastern coast of the island.
• Enjoy Greek coffee by the canvas of the sunrise. Before reaching the point where the fishing nets fall, the passengers enjoy a Greek coffee with traditional cookies in the tranquillity of the waves, as fishermen do every morning. Guests have the chance to watch the unique Zakynthos sunrise from the boat to top this memorable day and take unique souvenir photos. 
• Discover the traditional fishing techniques. After meeting your Captain and listening to the safety briefing, enjoy a tour of the facilities and learn from the crew how to use the fishing tackle and bait. Then, it's about time to put your newfound skills into action, accompanied by your instructor. Your first task will be to participate (optionally) in pulling the fishing nets into the sea. If you’re a beginner, try your luck in catching your first fish, or for more experienced fishermen, ask your expert crew for extra tips and tricks to help up your chances of a bite. 
• Drop anchor, time for practising the traditional fishing technique with fishnet, swimming & snorkelling. After the nets have fallen into the sea, the ship drops anchor on a calm beach away from crowds for about 2.5 hours. Here, you may swim, watch the sea bottom with masks provided by the crew, and also fish with fishing lines -the traditional way of amateur fishermen. You can also enjoy the fresh fruit the crew provides. And if you are lucky enough, you may see dolphins jump out of the water, turtles swim, or even seals (those living in the Ionian Sea). Then, the fishermen begin to collect the nets, and you may participate in the process if you want to, in cooperation with your captain and crew. 
• Lunch onboard. As the day continues and once the fishing process is completed, the boat will sail to another quiet beach, where the crew will prepare lunch. The fish caught in the nets will be cooked traditionally and will be accompanied by fresh salad and wine from the vineyards of Zakynthos. While waiting for the meal to be prepared, you may swim again and get on board when everything is ready. When the table is set on the boat, you will enjoy fresh fish, accompanied either with risotto or with a salad of vegetables of the day and ice-cold wine from Zakynthian vineyards.
• Departure. Once your meal is finished, the crew pulls anchor and starts returning to the open sea. On our way back to the main port of Zakynthos sit back on the traditional wooden boat and enjoy the breathtaking spectacle coastline of Zakynthos sparkling next to you. Gazing into the mesmerizing skyline with your group, take great photo opportunities to capture the beauty. Enjoy the relaxing serenity while listening only to the sound of the waves. 
• Return to dock. We sail back to the port of Zakynthos for the inescapable end of your unique Traditional Fishing experience. As this tour comes to the end, you’ll have been hooked not only by the fishing with nets and the satisfaction of a good fish but from the whole process. It is the enjoyment of your morning coffee with just the sound of the tranquil lapping of seawater and the wind. It is the marvel of the magical colours of the glorious, rosy sunrise while you admire the surrounding view of the sun shimmering over the water, greeted by seagulls and birds. It is the good company, the meal on the boat with the local pure products, the dives in the crystal-clear sea, and the exploration of unknown beaches. It is the whole Greek philosophy and culture of the people of the sea.
• The ending point is at our office, Isala Travel. With mind and cameras full of beautiful moments, the group will return to the port of Zakynthos around 5 in the afternoon, having spent nine hours of a unique experience.
